Episode XII! – Aikirees insisted on posing as such. She won this week’s fashion report by malms while I disapprove of my current predicament (again).
Kosmikros Sisters
Dragon Tails: Close Encounters of the Small Kind
The other evening, while Laureine was out adventuring on her own taking care of her own personal tasks and objectives that are usually unable to be done during the normal weekly tasks, she comes upon Sirena on the First assisting Granson to find a specific Cardinal Virtue. It was a very lovely intermission of rest from both of their adventuring, where then a couple of U.F.Os come along and attempt to tractor beam them away.
Seemingly miscalculating their size versus said alien vehicles, it ended up being more of a float hammock of sorts. Meanwhile the two kept chatting until their attempted abductors gently put them back on the ground and flew off in a hurry. Quite possibly to find a target far smaller that could be picked up properly.
Anden may want to look over the flock a bit more thoroughly this evening…
Sisters’ Fashion Report Adventure XI
Episode XI! – Big winter coats, spiky shoulder gauntlets, fancy pants with some… interesting shoe choices confuse me for this week’s Fashion Report. Once again, Aikirees is having the time of her life and I just still don’t fully understand the situation.
Dragon Tail’s: Cozy Warm Evenings
My assistant spending a cold winter evening relaxing in front of EOCA HQ’s lounge fireplace keeping warm. I know a lot of places are on the colder side, so please do take care and stay warm while the weather outside is cold out!

The End of Endwalker
Well technically the ending to Endwalker’s story was 6.0 and the 6.x series was more of a mini-story setting up for things in the future, this is where the finale credits for the expansion happened in Patch 6.55. This small part of the Main Scenario Quest (MSQ) was more of a prologue to the next expansion, Dawntrail, and it was so enjoyable!

While this isn’t necessarily talking about what exactly happens in this patch/part of the MSQ, there’s very minor spoilers and a handful of screenshots from it, so skim on past or wait till y’all have gotten this far before glancing through it. The entirety of it felt shorter than previous finale MSQ’s, I think Shadowbringers’ was a smidgen longer with a long instance to end it, and Stormblood had a really rough instance to end it as well. I could be mistaken as it has been several years since I’ve done Shadowbringers’ and even far longer since Stormblood’s.

Regardless of the length (it’s not really that important, just a side-thought), the amount of stuff that was added into these last few quests of the expansion are so gosh darn full of wonderfulness! Wuk Lamat is officially introduced here hailing from Tural asking for assistance in her homeland for becoming the new ruler, which will presumably unravel as we adventure through Dawntrail.
This was a really, really fun little prologue! The energy, the characters’ interactions, the introduction of Wuk Lamat and showing off her personality all in such a small amount of time made me adore her and get really interested in what the hoobers we’re getting ourselves into during Dawntrail! The instance itself was well done and bumps one up to an absurdly high Item Level that, while it doesn’t make it a full breeze to get through, gives it just the right difficulty and feels like more of an interactive part to the already fun prologue sequence.

It ultimately ends with us agreeing to go over to Tural and all parties present with us beginning preparations to head on out. Thus the finale credits to Endwalker begin. These ending credits were pretty neat too, a lot of fun little scenes and some concept artwork sprinkled throughout.

Post Credits had one more cut scene with parties not-present but are also Westward bound too. Thancred and Urianger’s specifically being one of note that kind of helps mold some of what we’re going to see happen during Dawntrail.

Final little messages come up, and then that was it. I know I’ve said it a few times already, but this was great. I loved every moment of this whole thing. There’s still a lot for us to do between now and Dawntrail, but this all setting the stage for it leading into a whole new land and story was absolutely wonderful! Here’s to many many more adventures ahead, wherever they take us!
Sisters’ Fashion Report Adventure X
Episode X! – Pleasant outfits for this week’s report, so we retired to EOCA HQ’s outside gazebo to convene under a beautiful clear starry night sky.
Then there was Dragoon 70
We all have finally attained level 70 Dragoon!! The 60-70 adventure was mostly pleasant overall, and understanding the several rotations that the class has up to 70 hasn’t been all that rough either. The story was enjoyable too, but I personally liked the 50-60 one a lot more.

Once the Dragon Gauge was unlocked at 70, the rotations and combo’s become absolutely bonkers! It all makes sense, but upon first seeing it was a bit overwhelming especially when we main Black Mage. All in all though, we’ve been really enjoying Dragoon so very much. It’s fun and balanced between speed and what should be executed next while moving around the battlefields.

This was also really gratifying to see happen upon hitting level 70 as well. It might look really awful jumping from 60 to 70 gear, but we really only stuck with roulettes that kept us around 60 or below all of the time. I can’t believe were only 20 levels left. Here’s to those and more adventures ahead!!
Sisters’ Fashion Report Adventure IX
Episode IX! – I mean look, we’re sisters; us sparring was always going to inevitably happen.
Under the Ruby Sea
Aikirees and I caught up the other evening after finishing up all of our objectives for the day under the Ruby Sea. This moment was so serene and just relaxing after a haptic day/evening.
Also recently acquired the Major-General minion that had this absolutely amazing item description.

The little feller is an achievement-based minion from ocean fishing. Anyway, we’re quickly approaching Dragoon Level 70 now as well!!
Dragon Tails: Botanist Daydreaming
Nothing fancy, just my assistant out and about having a quick daydreaming moment while searching for a treasure map. Some of the things the AFK camera picks up are rather neat, and this one was certainly one of those!
Sisters’ Fashion Report Adventure VIII
Episode VIII! – We loved out outfits for this week’s report, we decided to go out on a stroll through Kugane Castle with them!
Star Bunny II: Episode 1
After my over-excitement for acquiring my new ship had dissipated, I set off to explore and pick up a new mission or two. I don’t believe any new Terran Gambit missions had come out by this point, so I picked up where I left off on the Romulan ones. Before disembarking from Earth’s Spacedock, I took a quick tour around the inside as I hadn’t done so prior on my first ship.

Most of the interiors for any starfleet ship, at least the ones I picked, seemed to all be really similar except the bridge module can be customized to a degree. I decided to pick one that was homage to a Galaxy Class’ bridge. After a walk around of most the interior (I think I overlooked sickbay and the transport room on this walk around), I headed out.
Whatever the reason, I detoured and headed out to see Deep Space Nine. It was a pretty good hike from Earth Spacedock to Deep Space Nine, but it’s not too rough once a course it set in, just sit back and watch the stars flyby as one heads to their destination. When I got close, I was prompted to ‘enter the sector,’ and then was greeted with a gorgeous view!

I docked with Deep Space nine, and took a quick look around before heading out on a new mission. I ended up in front of a rather ominous Romulus Outpost, and without paying attention, got ambushed and nearly destroyed! The mission was pretty straightforward if I recall, and once that one was over ended up flying through a really pretty area of space filled with a nebula and asteroids.

It was a pretty short session with only one or two missions being completed, but it was a lot of fun and being able to fly around in the new starship made it all the more enjoyable! I headed back to Deep Space Nine at the end to get a nice rest.

A lot of this early exploration I still hadn’t really documented all the well yet, but I know the closer to when I finished the Terran Gambit it gets a bit more clear directed. Until next time~!
Sisters’ Fashion Report Adventure VII
Episode VII! – We’re both really not sure of what to make of our outfits for this week’s fashion report, but they did come out quite nicely. I have to admit that I do kind of like mine, albeit needing some color adjustments.
Heavensturn 2024!
We had such a wonderful time with this year’s Heavensturn. The story was so gosh darn cute & emotional with it telling tales of the “Ryu” or Dragon for us Eorzean’s that eventually leads into a Far Eastern tale that intertwines with the Four Lords story from Stormblood. I love absolutely every moment of it.

What was also neat is the aftermath and the return of getting one’s fortune taken again! This was from the 2023 Heavensturn event with its own story and was so delightfully fun!

While I and my poor assistant didn’t fair so well, Aikirees flourished and Lizicus did. One can always request a re-draw, but we tend to stick with what we get for the year. Regardless, it’s a nice fun little thing that I am glad they brought back. It sets one back 100 Gil per draw, so very low-cost to keep drawing if one wants to.

May everyone out there have an absolutely wonderful Heavensturn and 2024 ahead! Let’s make it a stellar and ‘zee awesome’sies’ of a year!!
A Relaxing New Year’s Eve
Normally for New Year’s Eve, I spend the evening with my folks and we celebrate ringing in the New Year with them. However this year, they were not feeling well, so I spent the evening with my beloved FC. While we went to catch up on Dragoon quests, Juli arrived and mentioned she wanted to go Ocean Fishing.
Ocean Fishing is an event that happens only ever 2 hours, and it’s a fun time on a boat catching a bunch of fish while gaining an absurd amount of experience in the process. We decided to join her for the last boat ride of the year. It was an absolutely wonderful and relaxing time.
Shortly thereafter, we hit midnight and celebrated the new year, while having friends come to visit and chat with us until the whee hours of the AM celebrating not only our New Year’s but for friends in Central, and Mountain times as well.
It really and truly was a wonderful night that I won’t forget. ♥
Sisters’ Fashion Report Adventure VI
Episode VI! – While Aikirees continues to lead our adventuring exploration, I continue to read and take notes as we continue deeper into the First’s deep forest.
Happy Starlight & Holidays!!
Wishing everyone a very happy Starlight & Holiday Season! Hope it’s been a wonderful one thus so far with a very amazing year end ahead! ♥
Dragon Tails: Dragons Under the Pale Moonlight
Nothing really beyond just a tranquil moment with the Cousins taking a small respite to rest and enjoy the moonlight ♥
Sisters’ Fashion Report Adventure V
Episode V! – Aikirees is very much taking advantage of her rather new unique look. As for what place she has in mind is still anyone’s guess as I simply just try to process the look of it all.
Super Mario RPG: Midas to Moleville
Let’s see… ah-ha! So we last left off defeating Belome and being swept away to the Midas River. Aside from it being absolutely gorgeous with all of the brilliant colors in the caverns, the river course itself to me was much easier to understand and control than the Super Nintendo version of this same course. I really enjoyed its incarnation as opposed to the original. I’m still not particularly good at it, but it’s very enjoyable. It starts off falling down a waterfall sprinkled with coins and frog coins with cave entrances (like the featured image above) and the occasional spring to bounce one back to the main waterfall. The second part is to roll on a barrel down a flat river with coins that one can jump up to reach while also avoiding some angry cheep-cheeps along the way.
Once the course is completed it ends with a toad offering a conversion for a certain amount of coins collected on the course itself. If the bar is met, then one keeps them, otherwise the coins are withheld until the course is re-ran to hit that bar. Once that’s all squared away, it’s onwards to Tadpole Pond! Upon entering for the first time, one is greeted by the tadpoles and the Frog Sage himself who tells Mallow is not a *shocked* ‘not a tadpole!

From here, it’s a fun-quick run through Rose Way, where we meet back up with Bowser and his army wanting to take back his castle. Mario & Mallow hide from sight to hear what has been happening with the Koopa King.

Upon entering Rose Town, things are… a bit off. It’s gloomy, the music is the same when the Mushroom Kingdom was under siege and arrows are raining from the sky, so it’s very obvious as something is incredibly not right in this town.

After exploring the town, and heading into the Inn, a whole adorable and wonderful scene happens. It starts off with a young toad named Gaz playing with figures of Mario, Bowser, and Peach reenacting the trio’s many adventures through the years. It’s all so cute and then when Mario comes in, Gaz asks for him to play for a spell and introduces another doll named Geno. While Mario plays as his ‘nemesis’ Bowser, Gaz uses Geno’s arm attack and knocks Mario out cold.

After Mario is sent to bed, a new cut scene for the Switch version plays out. The Super Nintendo didn’t have this scene and I got really emotional. The entity we come to know as Geno comes through the window, looks at the figures, and picks the Geno doll as its chosen body to go and help fix Star Road.

Mario wakes up, and comes down to hear Gaz talking about Geno heading into the Forest Maze to their mother. The Forest Maze area has one banger of a song and has lived rent free in my mind since the Super Nintendo days. There’s some hidden spots in here and the maze itself: there’s two routes here one is explained by the feller in his house on top of the staircase, and the other is following Geno.

Mario and Mallow catch up with Geno, we’re introduced to Bowyer, a talking bow-like entity that is associated with the Smithy’s Gang, and also who has been shooting arrows at Rose Town. Mario tries to go ‘fists’ flying into deal with Bowyer, but Mallow stops him. They hide for a moment while one of the arrows brings to him the 2nd star piece, and then Geno gets involved very quickly thereafter. Geno pleads with Bowyer to stop and hand over the star, but of course does not for in which then Mallow allows Mario to get involved (while also running off without Mallow… oops.)

The fight itself is a lot of fun, and Bowyer uses ‘X,’ ‘Y,’ and ‘A’ disabling buttons to try and slow the party down. Ultimately leading to Bowyer getting irritated enough to disable all three buttons at once. Geno speaks up and states the trio make a good team, and leads into introducing the player into using a Trio Attack, which is kind of like a Limit Break if one is familiar with any of the later Final Fantasy games.

With the wheel at 100%, it’s time to use the ever first Trio Attack in the game to end the fight, and claim the 2nd star!

With Bowyer defeated, the 2nd star piece is ours! Just a quick stop back in Rose Town afterwards, then it’s back on the road heading to the Pipe Vault, then ultimately to Moleville!
