Crossroads

On the rare occasion, Aryiah comes home from the First, and it just so happened she ended up bumping into Laureine who was about to embark on a journey that I asked her to do a while ago in regards to Elizara’s presence after apparently falling out of a scroll in the forbidden section of the Archive.

“…you’re going to see, who?!”

“The Missus asked me to to seek out the estranged Mistress.”

“So, Auntie ‘Tess?’ Why in the Twelve…??”

Aryiah couldn’t wrap her mind around why anyone, especially myself, would ask anyone at HQ to seek out my other sister.

“She apparently can help explain something that happened in The Archive while I was–“

“Yep, okay, say less.”

She abruptly interrupts Laureine’s explanation as to why this excursion is about to be embarked.

“R-right, apologizes, Mistress.”

“Oh, quit with all the manners with me! Nevermind, everyone’s told you that, and you will still continue.

Laureine tries to quietly as possible hold back a quick laugh.

“Anyway, I was just passing through, figured drop by the house before heading back to the First. I take it mother and Auntie Aiki are out like usual?”

Laureine nods at Aryiah’s inquiry.

“They’ve been exploring Tural for quite some time, but I expect them back home by the 22nd bell.”

Aryiah acknowledges with a tired sigh.

“Well alright, when you see mother, just tell her I dropped by to say ‘hi’ and I’ll hope to catch her the next time. Oh, tell that adorable black cat the same as well when you see her too!”

Laureine nods with a surprised squeak that gets the attention of Aryiah but only for a moment.

“I better go, you take care on your journey to see Auntie ‘Tess,’ and be very careful around her.”

“I-I will, thank you, Mistress. Please do take care returning to and on the First!”

Aryiah smiles, gives a dismissal wave, and heads out of HQ back to Mor Dhona. Laureine lets out a sigh herself, and begins the long trek to find Terrestia.
